Alicia Keys Apologizes to Fans for Tobacco Ads

The BBC reports that multiplatinum-selling Grammy winner Alicia Keys has apologized to fans in Indonesia after finding out that an upcoming concert was sponsored by tobacco company Philip Morris. Anti-smoking organization Tobacco Free Kids criticized Alicia Keys when billboards promoting her concert were having a logo for the A Mild cigarette brand.

The R&B singer apologized to fans in Indonesia and said that the tobacco company had subsequently withdrawn their sponsorship.

Multiplatinum-selling Grammy winner Alicia Keys will team up with White Stripes rocker Jack White to perform “Another Way To Die,” the theme for the 22nd James Bond movie, the Quantum of Solace, which hits theatres in November. The multiplatinum-selling Grammy winner Alicia Keys was among the international stars to perform for Singfest Music Festival. The two-day outdoor festival was organized by Midas Promotions, over the weekend at Fort Canning Green and drew a staggering 17,000 people, compared to 9,000 at its inaugural show.

American R&B queen Alicia Keys was among other stars line-up for the music festival including: pop singer Jason Mraz and rock band OneRepublic, as well as Scottish pop-rockers Travis, Welsh rockers Lostprophets and Canadian pop-punkers Simple Plan and the raunchy Pussycat Dolls, who used pre-recorded music.

NY Congressman Wants to Import Models - American Girls Not Hot Enough for the Big Apple

What is even sadder is that these poor starving and pouting girls are regularly beat out for H-1B visas by nerdy scientists and engineers eager to come to American and make this a better place as opposed to make everyone wish they looked better.

A New York congressman has introduced a bill that would create 1,000 new visa slots for foreign fashion models. Democrat Anthony Weiner said the measure would boost New York's fashion industry.
Overseas models currently compete for so-called H-1B visas, which are intended for highly skilled foreigners who may be computer experts or doctors. The models have not done well, with only 349 slots going to models out of the 85,000 available, the reported.
New York's tabloid newspapers said Weiner, 43, is currently dating Huma Abedin, a Hillary Clinton aide who has posed for Vogue magazine.

Sometimes its just too bad that the founding fathers of the United States didn't draft a clause into the Constitution that would enable the removal of idiots from office. We could get a BOGO with Congressman Weiner (D) and George W Bush (R).

By the way, there is no word on whether or not GW would support this measure would it actually go anywhere at all, but Bill Clinton probably would jump on this bandwagon, slide trombone in hand.
